Why I like Yoast SEO

After 39 revisions, I got my About page’s Readability and SEO scores to “Good”. At least according to Yoast SEO.

I don’t rely solely on this plugin in optimizing my website but it really makes some important SEO stuff easy to do. For example- I can change/update my meta tags easily, have my site verified with different Webmaster Tools without a sweat, and I don’t have to worry about creating an XML sitemap for my site. It can do a lot more than that. Click here to read about its features in detail.

Overall, it is a powerful tool that you can use to make your WordPress website SEOtastic.

Shout-out to Yoast for providing us with this powerful SEO tool, as well as with top-notch SEO courses that you can do at your own pace.

Plugin Review

I’d like to share a review written by Claire Paniccia. It has a lot of useful information, i.e., the pros and cons of this plugin, and it’s the best review I’ve read so far!

I’m quoting her conclusions below but you can (you must if you’re planning to use this plugin) read the whole article here.

To Yoast or not to Yoast
So, to sum up, if you have a site on WordPress, and you’re planning for someone other than you and your mom to read it, you should definitely have Yoast.

It’s powerful, makes important SEO things easy to do, and can be a really helpful writing tool to make sure your content is SEOtastic.

But don’t get carried away when you see bloggers all over Pinterest calling Yoast “The Ultimate SEO Plugin”. Lots of hype and oversimplification.

I’m not a fan of hype and oversimplification.

SEO is far too complicated and nuanced to be taken care of by one plugin. Or even just plugins! It takes plugins, online tools, and of course your own work and heavy lifting with keyword research and excellent content.
